The shop contains a large display of our book and catalogue stock
with a small range of around 100 items of ceramics for sale from the 18th,19th and 20th centuries.
Also odd items of other small antiques.

We emphasise this ceramic stock is small and is to complement our
book and catalogue stock & provide extra interest to visitors to Swanage.
The ceramics date from 1750 to 1970 and are priced between £3 and £150.

Over 4,500 sale catalogues on ceramics of all subjects from the 1950's to 2004
plus a section of applied arts, furniture & glass and antique magazines from the 1940's to 2002.
Catalogue room open to visitors only by appointment.

We can recommend accommodation and provide information on getting to Swanage if required.
Our pier has been refurbished in recent years and last year "2006" the beach was recharged with sand and new timber groynes inserted, and has been completed.
The Swanage Steam Railway is another attraction along with Swanage being part of the Jurassic Coastline.

Several people have asked about the name "The Last Resort" ..... Swanage is a resort which is fairly inaccessible ......
However, some of you may be familiar with one of our favourite songs which bears the same name.

" They called it paradise, the place to be,
"They watched the hazy sun, sinking in the sea"
-- " Who will provide the grand design, what is yours and what is mine"
"There is no more new frontier, we have got to make it here"
( The Last Resort - 1976 - The Eagles )
